Santa loves visiting Kyle Texas before Christmas, but he can’t come via sleigh because Rudolf and the Reindeer need to rest for the Christmas Eve ride. Fortunately, the Kyle Fire Department has once again offered a ride to Santa so he can visit our neighborhoods.
Santa will begin his visits at approximately 6pm Emergency calls take precedence, and dates and times are subject to change without notice, but Santa will try his best to make it your neighborhood.

At McTeacher night, the Fuentes Elementary teachers served ups smiles along with food. A portion of the proceeds helped the school with needed projects. Louie the Lobo, the Lehman High Mascot, stopped by to say hi to all the children and adults.
Fuentes Elementary is named for Susie Tenorio Fuentes, a native of Kyle, Texas.
If ipods had been invented in 1550, this is the music that would have been on it, says Dr. Richard Floyd, before he conducts the Texas Music Educators Association, Region XVIII’s 2011-2012 All-Region Symphonic Band. For area middle school musicians, performing in this group is an honor.
This performance, on December 10, 2011, at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center (PAC), is one of the many events in Kyle that draws persons from all over Central Texas. The PAC has provided a boost to the local economy, since crowds usually eat and purchase gas in the vicinity before and after shows.
A local middle school mariachi performs at Gregg Clarke Park here in Kyle, TX.
The Hays CISD Mariachi Program held the first annual Dia de los Muertos Mariachi Extravaganza, November 5, 2011. Every Mariachi band in the district preformed (Wallace Middle School, Chapa Middle School, and Lehman High), along with special guests, including Celeste, a champion solo vocalist, the Texas State Mariachi and Texas State Salsa groups, plus the award winning Fuentes Glee Club. Students raised several thousand dollars for the program through a BBQ sale. Local businesses, student groups and PTA’s had booths also.
The Mariachi Band Booster will host the event on November 23, 2012.
