The Hays CISD Education Foundation presented Innovative Teaching Grants January 7, 2011. Almost $24,000 was distributed to eight groups of teachers in the school district. Foundation Executive Director Angie Mendez said,“It’s always been a challenging job for our committee of Foundation members to select from such great innovative ideas,” Mendez noted, adding that “more and Let’s call it a musical paradise. After the Hays Rebels Varsity game on Friday, October 29, 2010, the Texas Tech University Red Raiders Marching Band will perform at Shelton Stadium.
