First Annual Kyle Earth Share Fair April 17,2010

The City of Kyle and Kyle Elementary School proudly invite the publc to the First Annual Kyle Earth Share Fair April 17th. The event, runs from 10:30am to 2pm, at the Kyle Town Square.

The Share Fair is the first collaboration between the
City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department and Kyle Elementary School (KES)
and will feature hands-on activities that focus on science, math, and
specifically, the environment.

Community business booths will highlight nature
and environmental issues, health, and technology. Student activities
will include “Electrifying Circuits,” the “Bubble Booth,” “Breathing Machine,”
“Isopod Challenge” and many more.

The KES Environmental Study Center booth will
feature some of effort’s favorite animals for students to see and touch. Live
music will be performed by Bill “Mr. Habitat” Oliver and the
Otter Space Band. Although this event is sponsored by Kyle Elementary and the
City of Kyle, it is a community wide event and all families are warmly invited.

A blood drive, sponsored by the Kyle Elementary School PTA will be part of
event. The blood mobile will be parked along the west side of the square.

City of Kyle Easter Egg Hunt 2010

Come out to the City of Kyle Easter Egg hunt, Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Gregg-Clarke Park. The event runs from 5-7pm and includes games, inflatables, food, train rides, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

6::00 pm 0-3 years
6:15 pm 4-6 years
6:30pm 7-9 years
6:45pm 10-14 years

Parking is available at Wallace Middle School, next to the park.

Steeplechase Park Cleanup February 27th

The City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department is organizing the “Plum Creek Watershed Clean Up & Park Improvement Project”.

Please come out to Steeplechase Park to clean trash out of Plum Creek, remove dead trees, and other general cleaning.

The event starts at 10am on February 27, 2010 and is co-sponsored by the State of Texas ” Keep Texas Beautiful Program”.

This is a great volunteer opportunity for civic organizations.

Major equipment and materials are provided.
