Christmas Tree Drop Off Locations 2018

After Christmas, we are left with the bills and the Christmas tree. I can’t help you with the bills, but I can help with the tree.

The City of Kyle has drop off locations for your natural Christmas tree, so no artificial aluminum trees, please.

Take the tinsel, ornaments and popcorn strings off and cart the tree to any of the following four locations.

GREGG-CLARKE PARK – (location set up near Gregg Dr between Football Field and Softball Field #5)

STEEPLECHASE PARK – (location set up near football/soccer field)

WATERLEAF PARK – (location set up near parking lot)

KOHLER’S CROSSING – (location set up under water tower near Hays CISD PAC)

Kyle’s Fireworks Show

The City of Kyle proudly hosts the Annual Independence Day Celebration, July 4th. The fireworks show will start at approximately 9:30 pm and last about 20 minutes. The event is at the Plum Creek Golf Course, 4301 Benner Road, Kyle, TX 78640.

There are many places you can view the fireworks. If you can see the tall water tower next to the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center, 979 Kohler’s Crossing, you will be able to see the fireworks!

You can view the fireworks at the Plum Creek Golf Course Clubhouse, which is open to the public for the show. You can also view the fireworks from the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center. Ample free parking is available.

You can also see the fireworks from the HEB Shopping Center or the Kohl’s Parking lot.

In case of rain, the fireworks show will move to July 5th at the same time and place.

There are two fun events near the fireworks show, leading up to the celebration.

The Hays CISD Star Spangled Event features free live music. The Psychic Cowboys perform from 7pm-8:15pm, followed by the Starlight Symphony Orchestra from 8:30 pm-9:30 pm. No alcohol is permitted since this is school property.

Plum Creek Golf Course Pre-Show Celebration is a free event, and open to the public. Enjoy live music from 6pm-9pm. Hot dogs, cold drinks and snacks will be sold. No outside food or drink is permitted.
