Bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Hays County Food Bank and get a FREE picture with Santa!

By the way, dontating to the food bank is a great way to get on the nice list!

Well behaved pets on a leash are welcome to take a picture with Santa.

Vacation Bible School 2014

Looking for a Vacation Bible School.  Here are several VBS opportunities in Kyle and Buda.


Mega Sports Camp, a program from the Connection Church, features flag football, karate, cheerleading, basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, and skateboarding.  It is a free camp for kinder -5th grade students.  It is also an opportunity to learn more about God.

First Baptist Church Kyle hosts Vacation Bible School Jungle Safari where kids explore the Nature of God.

This free event is for children age 5 as of September 1, 2014 to completed 5th grade.

St. Anthony’s Catholic Church offers Vacation Bible School for Pre-K (age 4 by September 1, 2014) – 10 years old.  The cost is $15.00 for the first child and $10.00 for each additional child.

In addition, St. Anthony’s offers the Kids Fish Club July 2nd– August 6th, from 6-8pm.  Each session includes scripture study, group activities, refreshments and prayer.  This series is or elementary children entering 3rd grade or higher.






Kyle United Methodist Church is hosting a weekend VBS.  This year’s theme is Workshop of Wonders where kids will experience the love of Jesus.


The suggested donation $5.00 but no child will be turned away.

Saturday, July 12: 9:00am-Noon

Sunday, July 13: 3:00 – 6:00pm


A meal of hotdogs, apple slices, chips, and lemonade will be offered Friday night for children and volunteers. Sunday features dinner for the whole family at 5:00 p.m. (please bring a side dish) plus a water slide and bouncy houses.

St. Anthony’s 2012 Fiesta

St Anthony 2012 Fiesta

The smell of Mexican food cooking, a cool September breeze, and the steady, bass rhythm, beckoning you to the dance floor – it must be time for St. Anthony’s Fiesta.  Celebrating its 103rd year, the festival draws enthusiastic crowds from all over Central Texas.

This year’s featured entertainers are Los Palominos, and Los AT Boyz on Friday Night, September 21st and Ruben Ramos and El Ritmo, on Saturday night, September 22nd.  The music is outdoors and the dance floor accommodates a large appreciative crowd.

The environment is family friendly, with face painting, a photo booth, coin toss, putt putt golf, a book walk, cake walk, dart throw, and the ever popular basketball throw.  Adults will enjoy the wine waltz.

If it gets hot, head into the church hall for air conditioning, dinner by the Guadalupanas, and the silent auction.
