The new 20,000 square-foot building, to be located at 550 Scott Street, includes computer rooms, meeting space and an outdoor plaza and amphitheater.

The library will feature a limestone and brick design, similar to the new Kyle City Hall.

After the groundbreaking, Janie Sledge Toub and Edward Sledge have invited attendees to the old Sledge home at 202 S. Meyer, next door to the new library site, for light refreshments.

Please RSVP by Monday, January 10, 2011 to or 512-268-7411.
