A tasty time is coming to Kyle to benefit the The United Way of Hays County. The Taste of Hays County’s Boot Scootin’ Foodie features selections from restaurants all over Hays County.
The fundraiser is being held on August 29, 2010 from 5pm to 9pm at Texas Old Town Event Center, 1205 Roland Lane, Kyle, TX (512-396-1800).
The event includes live entertainment by Texas Renegade and the Crystal Creek Boys, plus a silent auction and a bucket drawing.
“The Boot Scootin’ Foodie is important to our organization,” said Michelle Harper, executive director of the United Way of Hays County. “Our goal is to establish an annual event for the organization that can experience continual growth, publicize what we and our partner agencies do to help Hays County residents, and additionally promote our local restaurants and businesses in the community.”
Each of the featured restaurants and business will provide one or two menu items for sample. The crowd will vote on a favorite.
Restaurants include: Carino’s, Hatfield’s Drive-In, The Tap Room, Saltgrass Steakhouse, Mochas and Javas, Cheryl Bailey Catering, Lucky Sailor Oyster Bar, Lucky’s Kitchen and Cocktails, Centerpoint Station, Bordeaux’s, Nonna Gina’s, Milagro’s, Palmer’s, Brewster’s Pizza ,The Gourmet Tamale Factory, Herbert’s Taco Hut, Seton Medical Center Hays, The Motley Menagerie, and Root Cellar Cafe.
